Facebook Announcement:
We are hosting an event where we demonstrate that *Women Can Be ANYTHING!*
Our Troop is participating in the "No Limits" Campaign that asks people to look at gender stereotypes and challenge our assumptions.
We have received 144 Matchbox Car replicas of the 1962 Mercedes-Benz 1962 Grand Prix Championship, unexpectedly won by Ewy Rosqvist -- to give away!
"They said I could never finish. So I finished first."
We are looking for connections to women -- wonderful women -- who would love to participate in an interactive passport-type event (like when Girls go to 10 booths they get a stamp, and then can get their car), with an option for also completing the Global Action Award 2020 - Gender Equality.
We are looking for:
Judges, Lawyers, Surgeons, Engineers, Teachers, Doulas, Massage Therapists, Midwifes, Stay At Home Moms, Work from Home Moms, Work Out of the Home Moms, People who aren't Moms, Teachers, Professors, Psychologists, Actors, Authors, Poets, Artists, Arborists, Farmers, Creators, Inventors, Healers, Doctors, Drummers, Ministers, Real Estate Agents, Horse Trainers, Pilots, Train Engineers, Construction, Librarians, Architects, Chefs, Managers, Social Workers, Gardeners, Make Up Artists, Girl Scout Leaders ... Anyone!
We would like a wide variety of work/skill representation, an activity or a display that is interactive, and hosted by a person who identifies as female.
The event will be on Saturday, February 8 (which I understand may conflict with Thinking Day Plans 😕), in Ferndale.
We would also welcome anyone who would be Happy to be on our Committee! 😜🤪🤩👏
I know it's a busy season right now -- so any support you can provide to set this activity up for success, would be wonderful!
