Troop 46466 Toolbox

Agreements + The Plan

Registration is confirmed once payment is received.

Arrival is after 6:00pm on Friday, April 17, 2020

Dinner and all of our activity stations will be available for all Girl Scouts to participate in as they elect.

Dinner will wrap up between 7:00 pm - 7:30 pm. We will do our best to make sure everyone eats. Not all young children eat well at events like this.

We recommend giving children a heavy snack or a pre-dinner dinner while they are still with their families.

Pick up may begin as early as 7:00am on Saturday, April 18, and no later than 7:45 am. (If you run late, shoot for 7:30!).

We will provide them with a selection of easy clean-up breakfast food, to eat either when they wake up, or be handed as they are going out the door.

We recommend expecting your Girl Scout to have had poor or not enough sleep. However, they will have had SO MUCH FUN!

VOLUNTEERS

VOLUNTEERS are welcome, at a general rate of 1 free adult per 4 paying Girl Scout Daisies, 6 Girl Scout Brownies attending. However, we understand that different girls and troops have different needs for success. If your group needs a higher ratio, and it makes our budget go wonky, we may ask for the extra adults to contribute to the food costs. However, we expect it to all balance out. #UnicornMagic

All adults attending must attend a Volunteer Orientation on Zoom so we are all prepared, related, and on the same page for how the event will work.

Please select from these dates:

Friday, April 10, 6:30pm - 7:30pm

Saturday, April 11, 10:00am - 11:00am

Sunday, April 12, 5:00pm-6:00pm

All Adults attending are fair game for being put to work! With young children, we understand that it may require some extra flexibility should there be a meltdown or upset. Thankfully, we've all got each other's back!

There is a place to select the area you'd like to work in on the Registration Spreadsheet.

Must be granted access to see this private document. (Step 1)

Rainbow Canvas Shoes

Shoes are ordered in small batches to ensure we have sizes needed and delivered on time.

In the unlikely case that our source of shoes increase their price, we will need to pass along the difference to you.

Any approved late registrations may be required to procure their own shoes or pay a late fee.

Piggy Paint Manicures

We provide "Piggy Paint" for manicures. Please see https://www.piggypaint.com/shop/nail-polish/ to see ingredients.

If you do not want your child to participate, please let her adult chaperone know. Our event Volunteers are unable to enforce this, given the number of participants we expect.

Fancy Hairdos

We will provide Non-Toxic, Non-Chemical-Smelly Andalou Naturals Sunflower and Citrus Styling Gel and Hair Spray.

Bring your own Brush, Combs, and Fancy Hair Decorations

We'll have a few extra hair-ties on hand.

Photo Booth / Fashion

Photo Booth and Fashion Show

Bring whatever Fancy Dress Ups your Girl Scout would like to wear. Remember to label anything you want back!

We will take pictures of each girl as she is on the Runway and in the Photo Booth.

If you would like your pictures kept private to you, please indicate that on the registration form.

Otherwise, all pictures will be published on our Google Photos album, and shared with the email addresses submitted with registration.

Overnight Behavior Expectations

Adults attending are welcome to empower their Troop Members to call home for a "Good Night" to parent who is not attending.

We need not ask Girl Scouts who are weepy to "tough it out."

Weepy children will have their parents asked to come get them. If you think your Girl Scout would be better supported by your attendance, please attend.

The context of this is a very early introduction to sleeping away from home, and for those who are ready, sleeping away from their parents.

This is meant to be fun and successful.

We trust our Girl Scouts to express what they are ready for -- and what they are not.

Photo Release Options

We capture candid and posed moments of our participants via photograph, and audio/video recordings.

Families have control of how those images and recordings are used.
