RSVP by Google Calendar

Hi Folks!

I have figured out a way to be more efficient using Google Calendar, saving me from hours of coordinating RSVPs. #AlsoKnownAsTorture

People who like the point -- What will happen now:

1) I will fill out the Google Calendar Item completely with details (time, date, location, costs), and send you an email via Google Calendar.

2) I will NOT send a separate email via Google Groups. (We'll still use Google Groups for communication, but not for RSVPs.)

3) Families will RSVP on the Google Calendar Item that is in your inbox.

>>> RSVP No matter what -- YES, NO, MAYBE. Three Choices.

If you don't already know it's a Yes or No, please give me a MAYBE.

4) Your RSVP will magically appear for me & show up on your Google Calendar.

People who like the details:

OMG I can't believe it took 3 years to figure this out. I blame it on my Iron Levels.

What if I don't use Google Calendar?

You don't have to -- but you are totally missing out ! #IWouldMarryGoogle

If you don't already have a Google Account, you can take your Existing Email Address and make it a Google Account by following these directions.

Thank you for doing this, it saves us all from having to get a new App like Facebook, Discord, or BAND App.

What is different?

You have to RSVP YES or MAYBE for it to appear in your calendar.

Before today, your calendar was automatically populated, and I couldn't tell who is RSVPing, because everyone has it already in their calendar. They didn't have to say "yes" to get it.

This is hard for me.

Thank you for doing hard things.

1) I have pictures (below!)

2) I'm very happy to help. Please let me help! All of our lives are easier when this is set up, and I am really helpful.

Can we please plan things in advance?

OMG YES! I hope to share Sept-Oct-Nov-Dec-Jan in August, and Feb-Mar-April-May-June in December.

>> Big things will be shared ahead of time, as far in advance as I can possibly share them.

In Summary

My Part -- Filling out the Calendar

Your Part -- RSVP Yes / No / Maybe

Thank you,

Christine
